The Latism 2011 conference took place in Chicago last week. The event was fully bilingual - facilitated by real-time translators - in an effort to not leave anyone out.
This is the fifth event the no- profit organization has held, and the biggest one ever. The conference had a packed schedule with hands-on workshops on Twitter, blogging, Facebook, as well as sessions on three specific topics: Public Service, Community, and Business.
An unmistakable Latino vibe was felt throughout the three days of the event. There was never silence in the hallways and wifi areas, music was always playing in the lounges, and the cafecito line was always long.
