The Grammy nominations are in and congratulations are in order for Bruno Mars, who scored six nods, tied with Adele and Foo Fighters. “I’m droppin’ grenades on ‘em,” joked the musical prodigy after hearing the news at the star-studded Grammy Nominations Live concert Wednesday night. Lady Gaga, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Sugarland, and Katy Perry were among those presenting and/or performing. LL Cool J took a break from NCIS: Los Angeles to host.
Kanye West led the pack with seven nominations, including Best Rap Album (Watch The Throne) and Best Rap Performance. Rihanna joined in on the celebration (although it looked a whole lot like lip-synching to us) from the O2 Arena in London.
Check out all the Latin categories below. It’s nice to see underdogs like Gustavo Galindo and not-so-commercial artists like Los Amigos Invisibles are getting some love!
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air February 12.
