The new trailers for four major releases in 2012 have hit the web. The question is: Will these make you want to spend your hard-earned dollars at the box office (and we all know how expensive that can get, especially when you take a date)? The industry certainly hopes so — according to Deadline Hollywood, at $76 million, last weekend was the worst of 2011 in terms of total movie grosses, down 17 percent from last year. Here are our thoughts.

Rihanna, acting? Say no more. We’re saving our dollars and watching Battleship on Netflix. Sorry, Liam—we know you’re a legitimate action star and we’ll see you in the as-of-yet untitled Taken sequel! Out May 18.

If this is the same movie that caused so much commotion over the summer in New York while shooting — Will Smith docked a 53-foot-long, double-decker nicknamed “The Heat,” in SoHo, angering residents — we’re a little underwhelmed. But let’s face it — we’re still watching it. It’s Will Smith! Out May 25.

Based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same name, What to Expect When You’re Expecting finds humor and fun in all the unexpected trials and triumphs of welcoming a child into the world. The film stars Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Rodrigo Santoro, and others. Out May 11.

We’ve been craving a good Black-centric rom-com for a while now, and Think Like A Man, based on Steve Harvey’s hugely popular guide to navigating love and sex in the modern world, is exactly that! We definitely think Kevin Hart can be a big-screen star, and this might be the right vehicle for that. Out March 9.

We know this has a monster cast (Tom Cruise included), but this is going to make Diego Boneta a star. We’re not talking cameos on CW shows-star, we’re talking the obsession of girls and gays galore. Need proof? Just watch the trailer for Adam Shankman’s film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical, Rock of Ages. Out June 1.
