Live stream: “Meet the Candidates” with Newt Gingrich

By UNIVISION NEWS
Channel: Politics

Two Republican presidential hopefuls will participate in a “Meet the Candidates” forum in Miami this Wednesday, sponsored by Univision and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, in the lead up to Florida’s hotly-contested GOP primary election.

Univision anchor Jorge Ramos will interview former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, on a range of topics –- from jobs and the economy, to education, health care, immigration, and international issues.

Harnessing the support of Latino voters will be a major key to victory in Florida, both in the Jan. 31 primary and general election. The state has 1.5 million Latino voters, one of the largest populations in the country, including a politically-active community of a half-million Cuban-American voters who will play a crucial role in picking the Republican nominee.

The event will take place at two different venues throughout the course of the day. Gingrich will be interviewed at 9:00 am at Univision Studios. Romney will be interviewed at Miami-Dade College’s Wolfson Campus Auditorium at 2:30 pm. To watch a live streaming webcast of the interview with Gingrich, please click here.

Highlights of the interview with the Republican candidates will be broadcast in Spanish on Univision News’ properties as well as in a special edition of Sunday public affairs show, “Al Punto” on Sunday, January 29 at 10am ET/PT, 9am CT.
