Co-hosts and executive producers Marc, J.Lo, and Jamie King are looking to put together a live extravaganza featuring exceptional Latin talent. Several, such as Brazilian troupe Capoeira Topazio (above), are competing. But who will be “The Chosen”? (Photo: Angie Romero)

Anticipation is building for ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen, the first reality show of its kind documenting Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and Jamie King’s transcontinental journey in search of extraordinary talent hailing from all over Latin America and the U.S. The prize? A starring role in an upcoming Las Vegas-style show, produced by the three power players.

Yes, it’s almost easier to get access to President Obama than it is to exes Lopez and Anthony these days (though we just saw them at Univision’s Television Critics Association breakfast a couple of weeks ago — read our full report here).

Still, we were one of the lucky few invited to the Los Angeles set of their new show earlier this month, where we sat and witnessed—alongside their 4-year-old Baby Emme— so much talent, we wouldn’t want to be in the producers’ shoes and have to decide who stays and who goes.

Meet some of the participants of ¡Q’Viva! below and get a sneak peek of what’s to come once the show premieres on Univision January 28 at 7:00 p.m. EST. These are just a fraction of the over 200 acts that Anthony, Lopez, and King saw and auditioned during their travels throughout Latin America in late 2011. They haven’t made the cut yet, but we wish them luck!
