It was a star-studded night injected with Latin music - and intriguing fashion.
On February 16, some of the biggest celebs in Latin music came out for this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina awards, held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
Some highlights: Daddy Yankee performed his party anthem, “Lovumba,” urban duo Chino y Nacho delivered a moving speech after they won an award, and who could forget Pitbull’s performance with fresh-off-the-Grammys Chris Brown?
Another highlight of Premio Lo Nuestro was the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, handed to the one and only Don Francisco by Enrique Iglesias, whose first-ever performance was on Sabado Gigante many years ago.
But before all of that, there was the juicy red carpet. El Talismán’s leading lady Blanca Soto channeled old Hollywood glamour in a beaded white gown. Cuban-American singer Lena showed us her assets. And we caught up with everyone from bachatero Prince Royce (who snagged four premios), to Mexican rockers Moderatto (who win our award for best makeup of the night), to singer Beatriz Luengo, who donned a dress made out of the Wall Street Journal.
