The 4 best songs to strip to, according to comedian Gabriel Iglesias aka Fluffy

Wouldn’t you rather see these roles reversed?

By AMARIS CASTILLO

What makes for a good stripper song? According to Gabriel Iglesias, it’s an uptempo cut with directions like “shake that ass.” The Mexican American comedian (aka “Fluffy”) has a cameo in Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, in which Channing Tatum (“Mike”) leads a cast of male strippers played by Adam Rodriguez, Matthew McConaughey and other studs.

Iglesias, who said he tried out for the stripper role in Magic Mike (out Friday) but the roles had been filled, plays the strip club’s resident DJ. His role was so challenging, he spent most of his time behind the booth “playing solitaire” and “looking up” during filming.

Do you agree with his picks? Which ones would you add?

“Bamboleo,” Gipsy Kings

“Bamboleoooooo! It’s a really upbeat song, I like jamming to it in the car. First thing that came to my mind.”

“It Was a Good Day,” Ice Cube

“That one’s kind of random, but it’s a happy song for me. It’s a cool, slow groove. By the time the song’s over, I’m like ‘heyyyy, let’s go have lunch.’”

“Paradise City,” Guns N’ Roses

“I think because I’ve heard that song so many times played a strip club, it just got engrained in my head.”

“Krazy,” Pitbull

“That song, Latinas they get crazy! They were burning it up on the radio. I like anything from Pitbull – all Pitbull songs are good.”
