Gloria Estefan stuns on the cover of Latina Magazine
She just gets better with age.

Gloria Estefan graces the August 2012 cover of Latina, which hits newsstands, Flipboard and Nook newsstands on July 10. The 54-year-old icon discusses her career that’s spanned decades, her lasting marriage to collaborator Emilio Estefan, her responsibility as a role model, and her upcoming TV project as a mentor on the new series, The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep.
On being a role model to Latinas: “Inspiring Latinas is the most beautiful side product of my career. It’s a beautiful thing to inspire somebody in some way and make them feel, ‘I can do this.’”
On how to have a successful marriage: “We are partners in everything. Emilio has been there for me and I’ve been there for him and his growth. It’s been a great balance.”
The original crossover queen’s last solo cover for the mag was in September 1999.
On the trappings of fame and stardom: “Forget the money and the notoriety, because you don’t take that home and put it to bed with you. What difference does it make if you have all this fame and people are clamoring for you and you’re off that stage and you’re home alone?”
