The Univision Shoe Diaries: Ever wonder what they are hiding under the news desk?

Satcha Pretto kicks off our fun shoe-centric series.

By EBONY MONTENEGRO & PAOLA BOLANO

It is no secret around the Univision offices that we have some shoe-a-holics in our midst. Our leading ladies confess to having a love affair with their shoes but trust us — this isn’t just a superficial addiction. In our new web series “The Univision Shoe Diaries,” we’ll be talking to some of the most recognizable faces from the network (Maria Elena Salinas, Chiqui Delgado, Teresa Rodriguez, to name a few) individually to hear the stories behind their most cherished footwear.

Their stories will surprise you.

Kicking this off is the lovely Satcha Pretto, who anchors the news on the network’s hit morning show, Despierta América. Satcha is a runner and she already boasts two and a half marathons under her belt. For the Univision Shoe Diaries, she picked her first pair of running shoes, the Asics Nimbus 11 (in pink of course), in which she completed her very first marathon. These happened to have been discontinued a few months before the big race. Luckily for Pretto, her investigative skills came in handy when she tracked them down in Canada.

Satcha is known for rocking cute ballet flats around the office since running takes a toll on her poor little feet, but she does have a few other shoes that she can’t live without.

Here’s a peek inside her shoe closet:

These J Crew flats in a leopard print are a work day staple for Satcha.

Every girl needs a great pair of heels and these Michael Kors are Satcha’s favorite.

Satcha wore these Timberland boots to cover a story in the Mojave Desert doing simulation training with the military with our very own Ingrid Rojas.
