What’s in your suitcase? Li Saumet of Bomba Estereo shows us everything!
A dress from her favorite shop in Buenos Aires, Amores Trash. We’re obsessed.

Bomba Estereo’s Liliana Saumet is on the road a lot. As in, she’s not sure where she’s been in the last few days (San Francisco) or where she’s going next (home to Colombia). But the fact is, she’s constantly going. We caught up with the electro-tropical band’s vocalist during the L.A. stop of their Elegancia Tropical tour (check out their Tumblr for cool on-the-road photos). She happily showed us everything she travels with — from toiletries to lingerie.
Li kicks off our new series called “What’s In Your Suitcase?” which is exactly what it sounds like, and something we’ll be doing with as many celebs as possible.
It’s funny how much you can tell about a person just by snooping through their luggage.
We wanted everything in her suitcase! See for yourself…
Stars! They’re just like us, and bring delicious-smelling lotions and potions wherever they go.
Liliana was especially proud of this hot pink jumpsuit with gold beading she bought in Morocco.
She never leaves home without a little journal to jot down thoughts, lyrics, and anything that comes to mind.
Her dressing room at the Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park was tiny and not very private, but Li worked with it anyway. She’s no diva.
She keeps her shoes in a separate bag, which she checks.
So much pretty make-up! The cute bag is also from Morocco, as is half of the contents in her suitcase. Can you blame her?
While in New York in July, Liliana bought a shower curtain. Just because.
“I always have to make my dressing rooms feel like home,” Li told us. “So I always bring scented candles. I think I bought these in Paris.”
“I love shopping at H&M. This cute dress is from there,” she said.
You never know when you’ll need cute lingerie! Liliana is a big fan of Victoria’s Secret bras and panties.
Decisions, decisions…which cute pair of shoes should she wear?
“I bought this dress at a vintage shop in Berlin. I love it there,” she said.
Her accessories are fun and colorful, true to her personality. These are from H&M.
We don’t envy the task of having to fit everything she’s accumulated during her world travels into one suitcase. Good luck, Li!
