Interested in self-deporting? ‘Funny Or Die’ shows you how (video)

Not that far-fetched: Jan Brewer look-alike markets “Self Deportation Station.”
We haven’t heard him mention it in a while, but who can forget Mitt Romney’s suggestion that undocumented immigrants “self-deport” ? The handful of comedians who created Funny Or Die’s newest spoof certainly haven’t.
The idea of “self-deportation” presented by the Republican nominee in a GOP debate earlier this year provoked backlash within the Latino community and has seldom been mentioned by Romney since. Critics argue the policy means making life so hard for undocumented immigrants that they are forced to return home out of desperation.
“The answer is self-deportation, which is people decide they could do better by going home because they can’t find work here because they don’t have legal documentation to allow them to work here,” Romney said in a January debate.
In the video, linked to by HuffPost Comedy, an Arizona Governor Jan Brewer look-alike, played by actress Mary Steenburgen, markets a product called the “Self-Deportation Station.” The wooden box lures in “illegals” with stereotypically Latin American props, including chile peppers and cerveza (and Morrissey poster!), and carries them back to their homelands.
