Will you watch this: A gritty movie about LA cops starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, America Ferrera?

Even with a bald head, he’s still got it.

A movie about LA cops? Hmmm. I’m skeptical. I’m honestly more scared of the cops than I am the criminals these days. But it does have one thing going for it: it stars Jake Gyllenhaal and I’ll watch him in a deodorant commercial.
Gyllenhaal plays Taylor whose best friend, Zavala, is played by Michael Peña (Michael has probably played more cops than anyone in Hollywood at this point). Both of them patrol South Central LA as handheld HD cameras capture the action, which gives it a real gritty, documentary feel.
America Ferrera (who I’ve been watching a ton of lately, thanks to WIGS, the awesome new YouTube channel from director Rodrigo Garcia) also stars, as the lone ride-or-die chick in their unit.
It’s not a real action movie unless they bring in the cartels somehow, right? Well, there’s plenty of that, too.
They try to be cute at the end of the trailer with a joke about Mexican girls. Watch below:
Will you check out End of Watch on September 21?
