Live stream from the DNC: “The Hispanic Surge and the New Landscape of American Politics”

Event hosted by Univision News, ABC News and National Journal.
On Wednesday, September 5, National Journal, Univision News and ABC News are partnering to produce “The Democratic Party in Tomorrow’s America: The Hispanic Surge and the New Landscape of American Politics,” a premier event at the Democratic National Convention, engaging leaders on the demographic revolution that is remaking the face of America.
The invitation-only event will feature Rep. Xavier Becerra, Mayor Julián Castro of San Antonio, and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles, as well as activists Janet Murguía and Frank Sharry, examining how growth in the Hispanic community and other key demographic trends are dramatically shifting U.S. policy and politics. The event will be moderated by National Journal’s Ronald Brownstein, Univision News’ Maria Elena Salinas, and ABC News’ Jake Tapper.
Univision News and ABC News recently announced a joint venture to create a digital and cable television network to serve, inspire, and empower the U.S. Hispanic community with culturally relevant programming in English. Together, all three news organizations will explore what these monumental demographic changes mean for each political party, the country-at-large, and the 2012 races.
