Merengue singer Milly Quezada and Best New Artists 3ballMTY cry… and Jesse & Joy’s performance makes me want to cry.
Milly cried on stage as she accepted her Best Contemporary Tropical Album and then backstage in the press room as she explained how her son had gone to rehab and is in his way to recovery. Like a good mom, she just couldn’t hold it together.
Proof that crying is cool: the young’uns from 3ballMTY also shed some tears when they won. But they better dry those eyes! The ladies hate crybabies.
Jesse & Joy’s performance included cheesy trapeze artists and interpretive dancing. It was really distracting. Check out more photos on Univision.com. There should be a ban against trapeze artists during award shows performances (ahem, Pink).
